MEET JAY
Jamie Singleton started his career as a men’s barber with his cousin Dave at Langley Hairstylist in Langley Park in 1985. He later Joined Disc Design Hair Studio (Dave’s first Salon) in Silver Spring MD where he had the opportunity to explore other aspects of hair in and outside of the salon.
Wanting to expand his repertoire, he studied hairdressing at Graham Webb International Academy of Hair and later joined the Bill Lawrence salon team in Adams Morgan. This is where he first learned how to give hair volume and movement using a round brush. Following the Bill Lawrence salon years later, he joined Elizabeth Arden Red Door salon and spa, where he was able to fully develop his skill set and explore his passion for hair.
Jamie focuses on each individual and meeting their needs from hair-care to finding the perfect style to complement various face shapes and hair textures. His specialty is a classic look with contemporary elements to keep each cut fresh, simple, and unique. While he enjoys working on all lengths of hair, his favorite styles to create are bobs, classic men’s haircuts and shoulder length hair with long layers.
